In the autumn of 2004, April, Eleven entrepreneurs had a meeting.
The end of that meeting was to result in the birth of an ‘enabler’ of mobility for the Polokwane economy, that would actively address the ills of the past.
Pooling their individual resources and capabilities, that ‘enabler’ was founded and Madodi Bus Company was born.
Through operation of Bus Public Transport services in collaboration with the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety’s National Land Transport mandate, the City of Polokwane became connected to the greater Dikgale region. (which includes Makotopong, Kotishing, Mankweng, Solomondale, Mmadiga, Ga-Maphoto, Sebayeng, and Marobala villages).
Our mission to be a leading force in the bus transport industry is proudly black woman-lead. Since its inception to date, CEO Olivia Maponya has successfully led a then small company starting out with a fleet of 15 busses to now double that capacity today i.e., 31 busses in a male-dominated logistics and transport industry sector. Moreover, She has lead with exceptional acumen and foresight, fostering an award-winning, empowered and truly one-of-a-kind company with a family culture unlike any other in the world.
